Alex Tjelmeland – Store Manager

Caitlin Atwood – Regional Sales Consultant
Caitlin currently resides in Van Horne, IA. She graduated from Benton Community High School in 2022 and currently attends Coe College majoring in instrumental music education and minoring in music performance. Her primary instrument is bass clarinet. She also plays Bb clarinet, contrabass clarinet, soprano saxophone, and tenor saxophone. At Coe, she is active in the concert band, jazz ensemble, concert choir, and the orchestra. She is also a member of the Mu Psi chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon.
Caitlin’s favorite genres of music are jazz and indie pop. Some of her interests are playing her instruments, baking, spending time with her cat, and Dr. Pepper.
Tim Crumley – Combo Sales Consultant
Tim was born in Des Moines, IA, raised in Allison, IA, and currently resides in Marion, IA.
Tim has attended Allison-Bristow Community School, Iowa Lakes Community College, NIACC, University of Northern Iowa (Bachelor of Art, General Studies/Music), and University of Iowa (Music Therapy).
Tim’s musical interests include jazz, funk, big-band, R&B, Afro-Cuban, Brazillian, classical, Dixieland, and pop. In his free time, Tim has enjoyed running for 30 years! Other interests include wine, listening to lots of music, and spending time with family and friends. He also collects drums & cymbals!
In the Cedar Rapids area, Tim enjoys eating at Napoli’s Restaurant, visiting parks, and playing gigs.
Kane Olesen – Regional Sales Consultant
Kane is originally from Elkhart, Iowa. He attended North Polk High School, and then attended the University of Northern Iowa studying Music Technology and Graphic Design. He was in multiple ensembles including the Symphonic Band, Orchestra, UNI Percussion Group, Laptop Ensemble, and being a section leader of the drumline for the Panther Marching Band and playing bass guitar in the pep band. After graduating from there in 2022, Kane moved to Cedar Rapids.
When not working at West Music, Kane helps with multiple marching bands across the state, most namely the Prairie High School Prairie Hawks Marching Band and the Prairie Indoor Percussion Ensemble (PIPE). He also enjoys composing/arranging and playing video games in his free time. Kane also occupies his time with the challenge of finding a new genre of music each week and seeing how music and visuals can create new art forms.
