Singing doesn’t have to stay in the music room! Singing is incredibly beneficial to people of any age for a variety of reasons – from lowering stress levels to helping with memorization. The best way to encourage singing in the classroom is to practice it outside the classroom. Here are some great resources to practice singing together at home:

Children’s Songs: A Collection of Childhood Favorites
This collection of 38 favorite songs will engage young listeners and bring fun, smiles, and laughter to any home!

115 Tang Tungling Tongue Twisters from A to Z!
Organized alphabetically, these twisters help with diction and enunciation while providing some much needed silly moments in your day.

Had a Little Rooster
“Had a Little Rooster” is a teacher favorite for early childhood and elementary students. The enclosed booklet includes lyrics and song directions that any parent can incorporate.

Sing
“Sing out loud, sing out strong!” This beautiful storybook is a visual representation of the classic Sesame Street song by Joe Raposo. Celebrating determination, self-expression, and the power of music, kids can’t help but feel inspired to sing out loud.

A Song in My Heart
This is a great collection of songs that you may not find in other song collections! The included CD is great to sing along to, and the book also includes lyrics and guitar chords for the whole family to join in.

¡Cantemos todos juntos!
A diverse collection of Spanish and Latin American songs and dances for children! Each song contains a musical concept, activity, and listening game or art project.

Rainbow Songs
Familiar songs like “Old McDonald” and “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” are great for beginners and are a good way to incorporate that rainbow-colored glockenspiel you may already have in the house.

The More We Get Together
The classic tune “The More We Get Together” gets an upgrade with this new book. The singalong features children who work together to make their urban neighborhood cleaner, friendlier, and safer for everyone.
