So you’ve started your first mariachi ensemble! Your school district has recognized the need to engage more students and bring this wonderful music to your community, so the work has begun. Through dedication from you as a director, the willingness and excitement of your kids and their parents and hours and hours of practice, you are ready to reveal the fruits of your labor to your school, district administrators and musical family with your first performance.

How can you be sure all of the instruments and vocals with be heard clearly?

West Music’s good friend Erik Ramirez has put together a very helpful video that details techniques for capturing your sound using a PA system. From the types of microphones, cables, and speaker recommendations, as well as microphone and player placement, Erik answers the questions that are sure to arise.
We know you will find this video invaluable now, and as you progress through this awesome musical adventure!
