Have you ever wondered what the inside of soprano and alto Sonor Primary Xylophones look like? Education Consultant Judy Pine shares a look in this video.

These Sonor Primary Xylophone models are Judy’s pride and joy in her office! The cut-aways showcase the development work that goes into creating the most resonate sound possible for every pitch and register of the instrument. It’s the “science of the sound!”

The Primary series is a medium-priced, medium-quality line from Sonor. It is the very first certified, environmentally-friendly Orff instrument line on the market! The instruments are constructed from Pao Rosa, which is an African Rosewood. Primary’s bars have both note names and notation symbols centered on each bar. Also, the instrument includes note names inside the box to help students put the bars back in the correct place.
